Carnivorousflora
Carnivorousflora is a New York City–based visual and street artist recognized for his animated paintings and murals of hybrid carnivorous plant forms. Influenced by the lines, color, and movement of NYC graffiti, he channels the visual language of the city into bold botanical compositions that merge organic growth with geometric structure.
After completing his formal art studies, Carnivorousflora spent 28 years as an art educator in the New York City public school system, teaching students with special needs. During this time, he refined his visual vocabulary while cultivating a deep commitment to community engagement and creative access.
His work transforms carnivorous flora into dynamic, almost sentient forms—interweaving floral pattern, figuration, and architectural rhythm. Vivid color, decisive line, and kinetic composition define his paintings and large-scale murals.
Carnivorousflora’s work has been exhibited in galleries throughout the United States and appears in neighborhoods across New York City. His imagery has also been featured in an International Coca-Cola commercial, on Saturday Night Live, and on album cover artwork, extending his practice into broadcast and music culture.
